Format:

Both IELTS and PTE have four different division named as Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. For sure, the model and content are different in both tests. There is the person who will assess your writing, reading and listening performance in IELTS. Furthermore, conclude your speaking proficiency having a conversation with you which is recorded for your evaluation purpose. Throughout the PTE there will not be any person for the live conversation with you for the speaking test. Of course, you will talk on a microphone for the given topic which is also recorded for further evaluation purposes.

If you are more comfortable on talk with someone and can attract people by your presentation you can give IELTS. If you are a person enjoy spending time with just one or two people, rather than large groups or crowds you can give PTE. IELTS is a pen and paper-based test while PTE is the completely computer-based or computerised program. It constantly has modern and updated methods of evaluating an applicant fluency and ability. During your exam session if you are unable to attempt some question you can go back to the question throughout the IELTS. but in PTE there is no similar option.
