Step-1: Requirements and funding

Before applying to the university go thoroughly to the university requirements, evaluate your finances, standard examinations grading (for example; Undergraduate degree should provide TOEFL/ SAT/IELTS for competitive entrance and scholarship while graduate programs such as Master’s degree or PhD students should provide strong GRE and the management students should provide GMAT scores depending upon their nature of program)

Step-2: Apply in university of chosen program

When applying to the university application requires academic credentials, essay writings, standard examinations (SAT/GRE/ TOEFL/IELTS). Once you apply to university you should pay SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) fee, student is given I-20 form from the university. After paying SEVIS fee you will receive the receipt through which you can apply DS-160 visa form (online form).

Step-3: Visa fee payment

Therefore, the duly filled I-20 form as well as application form conformation page should be present during F-1 Student Visa interview. To collect visa form you should pay your visa fee at designated bank. This form also should be taken along with your remaining documents in an interview. After this process schedule biometric appointment.

Students can schedule their visa interview appointment with U.S embassy in their particular country. Upon successful completion of the interview, you can get your visa within 120 days in advance. 30 days before your program date you can move to U.S.
